AD CASTING

In the wake of 2020 Black Lives Matter demonstrations, an international survey of racism in advertising casting received 500 responses.

The research results confirmed that the marketing world is ready to take action against anti-black advertising casting practices. Everyone across the marketing and advertising world is now invited to make a pledge.

Silence on issues of anti-Blackness are in themselves violent acts of complicit behaviour. Speaking up at work against anti-Black comments, requests or decisions is difficult but must be done.

Decision Makers

An important step towards accelerating diverse business practices is having Black people represented in decision making positions. Each of us has the power to invite new voices to the table.

A Safe Forum

For Discussion

Anti-Black behaviour, comments and experiences can cause people to become hurt, confused and angry. It is important companies create protocols and safe spaces to discuss and work through these issues as they arise.
